Beverly Hills is a mostly residential suburb located in the St George area and is south of the Sydney CBD. Before the 1930’s Beverly Hills was known as Dumbleton; named after a local farm in the area. With the arrival of the East Hills railway line locals lobbied for the name to be changed to a more glamorous alternative mostly influenced by Hollywood and the famous homes of the movie stars in Beverly Hills, California.
